Who we are
This policy explains how TuneForge, Stuyvesantstraat 52, 1058 AM Amsterdam (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use the TuneForge service. We are the controller of the data described below.
What data we collect
We collect account details (name, email, organisation, and login information), the ECU reads and vehicle data you upload, order and messaging history, billing information needed to process payments, and technical data such as logs needed to run and secure the service.
Why we use it
We use your data to provide the service — producing and delivering files, supporting your orders, processing payments, and keeping the platform secure — and to meet legal obligations such as accounting. We rely on the legal bases of contract performance, our legitimate interests in operating the service, and legal obligation, as applicable.
Where your data is stored
Files and account data are stored on EU-based infrastructure (object storage provided by Hetzner in the EU). We aim to keep personal data within the European Economic Area; where a provider processes data outside it, we put appropriate safeguards in place.
Third parties we share with
We use a small number of processors to run the service: Stripe for payment processing, Brevo for transactional email, and Twilio for WhatsApp/SMS where enabled. Each receives only the data needed for its function and processes it on our instructions. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required by law. In practice, we retain account and order records for the life of your account and for up to seven years after your last transaction, in line with Dutch tax and accounting rules, after which we delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can request access to your data, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or restrict certain processing, and request a copy in a portable format. Account deletion and data erasure are supported in the platform. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
